there's so much i wanna achieve this yr.
sometimes i wonder if i'm too ambitious or smt?

although it might seem like a really clear str8 path for the near future..
but still kinda feel lost.

i would wonder..
where really do i belong to?
what kinda talent do i have? (been watching too much heroes)
which kinda career path is suitable for me?
how do u determine if its the right track?

its a bad habit of mine...
only coming to you when i feel so alone in the world.
you can be relieve that i'll be talking to you more often these days.
my lovely blog.

these days i've been keeping my schedule real tight..
this way, the only thing i yearn for is sleep.
my mind will be too tired from straying elsewhere.
there are pros and cons to it.

it was nice to have been out of the shell for that short while..
to be able to truely voice what you feel
to be able to show you real emotion
to be able to bare your heart out.

somehow, i feel that i am going back into my shell of comfort again.
less vocal, less interested in everything.
more self-centered, more fearful of the surroundings.
aferall, thats where i belong all these years.

Anyways,
work today was kinda lax..
more of teaching than doing requests.
Luckily one of the system wasnt functioning too well..
hahaas.
Can focus more on queries than rushing everything through :)

gonna be in stolt for the last week
& moving on to the finance industry.

i like the structure of the company..
the way we work,
and of course the colleagues around.
ups & downs there were but ultimately i'll still miss these ppl!
totally enjoyed myself at the D&D, drinking sessions, vertical marathon etc

its a pity its not my field of work :(

WOW~ WOW~ WOW!

wanna know how u fare in the light of patience?
well.

u gotta try FISHING!

it was totally testing my limits.

imagine.
a lady who cannot stand waiting for more than 5 mins,
a lady who does not go for medi & pedi cos of the time taken to dry,
a lady who needs lotsa space to move around,
a lady whose ability includes not the word 'patience'.
being confined on a 180'x120'inch boat for 9hrs.

it was a totally great learning experience.

fishing isnt abt ur tremendous harvest.

at first,
i was so irritated with my lack of luck,
most already caught one/two.
i felt that in the eyes of the fishes, mine had a 'beginner's on board' signage.

i even came up with..
'the fishes in spore are too hard to catch,
cos our education covers an extensive network.
Even the fishes are educated.'
hahas.

But slowly,
i realised that my impatience was the downfall.
my lack of knowledge & experience,
forced me to keep reeling up the line,
checking every 2 mins in the hope of catching a fish.

oh gosh....

fishing,in my opinion,is:
the ability to open ur heart up & listen,
feel ur surroundings & understand nature.

so count me in on the next fishing trip!!!

we went blading for 2hrs & cycled another 2hrs right after.
our legs were real wobbly by the time we were done!

ended kinda late so proceeded w choice 2.
e only thing i wanna do is snip off the overgrown hair
& get home AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

bpp has only 2 salons.
Jean Yip & Kimage.
tried JY b4, got out the way i got in..
so its normal.

decided to try my luck with Kimage.

the usual,
wash, cut & blow.
cut an inch, layering, shape the fringe & trim the hair.

when James was blow-drying the hair,
he asked wad kinda style would i like..curls? straight?
since i was going home anyway,
i said 'normal'.

his face didnt look pleased..
then i felt bad.

halfway through drying,
he asked if i would like slight curls?

i said: 'okay!'

then his face lighted up!
and i felt happier & more relieved too :)
yeah i am easily affected.. hahas.

while i was looking @ him concentrating on the twirling & twisting,
it occurred to me how much he loves his job..

He reminds me of a professional hairdresser-to-be who yearns to help bring out the best in his/her customers,ability to help change their image and make an impression.

The slight curls are beautiful :)
And seriously,
i feel like having curls already!

and so...
i came back early today.
which was not supposed to be the case!

mondays & tuesdays.
e test of patience, endurance & strength...
to refrain from flaring up.

imagine there are abt 10 officers,
each of them producing at least 3 BLs or more..
everyone coming up to u telling u its urgent,
mentioning the cut-off timing,
hinting the need to attend to their BLs first.

So so.... which shld u do first?

As though rushing through all the BLs are not enough,
every few minutes,
a call comes thru & an amendment has to be made immediately.
The trail of thought disrupted..
have to get back focus & start the war against existing BLs.

Then some officer comes up to ask u for a file,
and i swear its jus right infront of them,
it would really speed things up if they could jus move their fingers a little?!

And of course some irritants refuse to confirm their BLs on time..
then my stuff's left hanging.

gosh!
totally taxing days of a week.
juggling ard with so many things really made 8.5hrs of work too short!
(2hrs of lunch break included)

supposed to meet the gers for seafood & chilli crab,
and be the photographer of the day...
BUT I HAD TO DO OT TILL 8pm
cant rush down to ECP on time for dinner :(

BKK was great!

totally left baht-less & had to borrow from stan!
hahahas.
everyone said 600 bucks would be more than enough
and i thought i'll bring a little extra..
but spent in total 800bucks!
so imagine the no. of clothes i bought :)

total of 11 of us went.

combed the entire clothes section of jatuchak more than twice!
the mad gang of shopaholics - ade, yt & me.
somehow we dont really know where we are
the clothes-our guiding light..
if we went into the same lane,
e clothes tell us so.
its like we kept walking in circles!

platinum shld be visited for its shoes & accessories only.
most of the clothes are overpriced & can be found in jatuchak.

somehow, i prefer suan lum's design.
but we only went there on the 3rd night..
kinda spent almost all my moolahs in jatuchak,
and everyone kept telling me that my baggage is confirmed overweight!
so i didnt dare to lay my eyes on the pretty clothes & lug them home :(
its so saddening to leave them at suan lum.

had my working suit & clothes tailor made.
at 'country road fashion'..
it was a little screwed up but at least the final product was alright
i kinda think the ppl in the shop hate us!
280bucks - 1 blazer, 3 tops, 1 pants, 2 skirts.
u decide whether its cheap or not :)

the very first night,
all shops were closed
so we decided to catch a movie tog.
HANCOCK. 120baht.
e adverts lasted for a solid 30mins,
then we had to stand up for the anthem,
sat down again,
in the hope of the movie's commencement.
of which didnt happen..
but the continuation of the adverts for god-knows-how-long.
kinda just slept thru the adverts & movie thereafter!
in conclusion,
HANCOCK was ....

i LOVE the COCONUT ICE CREAM!!
freshly opened mini coconuts cut into halves..
each used as bowls,
with its flesh dug out as base,
& a scoop of home-made coconut ice-cream on the base

its found in jatuchak at 25baht each :)
no kiddin man!
e queue never depletes
& a complimentary cup of coconut juice for all in the queue :)

totally love it!

DQ ice cream's shiok too :)
its like yt & I have one every single day!
quenches my cravings for haagen dazs macademia ice-cream.
going at 25baht each.
its moolatte is great too!
esp the green tea flavoured, 25baht.

we also had swensens..
going for 2 scoops at 50baht!
49 baht to be exact.

i've always liked meeting up for suppers!
first 2 nights we were too drained out for it.
on the 3rd & 4th nights we had the chance to grab a stroll down to the alley for some food :)
always remember.. to bring a guy along!!
e alleys are so dark & scary..
totally unlit.
rats squeaking away.
men sitting on the side walk & staring as we walk.
eeeeewww!!

the sinful oil-soaked banana prata was fabulous!
so was the temp beef noodle stall across the road from our hotel :)

kinda BLACKED-OUT TWICE.
i thought i was gonna die...

luckily i've alr taken my exams.

i couldnt stop in time & bang into kieron's bike.
so kinda flew out of mine..
got a few cuts.

e right feet obtained 2 slight cuts on 2 toes.
e left was more serious..
a rather deep cut in the left knee cap,
& my whole big toe is now swollen & refuses to stop bleeding!
losing lotsa BLOOD!!!!
eeeeeewwwww......
kinda limping my way ard today.

so gave up going to benice's chalet last night.
REAL SORRY GIRLIE!

didnt go for training this morning either :(

luckily my dad sent us to lisa's place!
so didnt have to walk :)

one- be a lawyer.
know how young kids learn loads from e tv serials they watched?

two- set up a kindergarten.
kinda grew up in kindergartens..
(didnt have a permanent one)

mum says:
everytime u're admitted to one,
they had to relocate shortly after.

anyway,
was always given e task to make sure e siblings were not bullied
waiting for my sis to board e sch bus back(same pri sch)
cycling trips ard e neighbourhood w my bro & others
making sure we were well-cushioned from e canings for being naughty!
awaiting for e aunties' little babies to play with..
hahahahs.

kinda love to be ard e little devils..
and i always believe our environment builds up e character.
wanted to create e perfect environment to shape our little toddlers :)
love to be ard them..
they can be irritating at times,
but always in a funny way.

e paper came as a shock...
e kinda qns is not even close to past yr's style.

TP,ABC & variance came out as expected.
BUT
ABC was a little modified.
VARIANCE was totally OUTTA this world.
TPx is alright if u've prepared for it.
Quality costs allocation is alright,if u've remembered e 4headings.

so it was TP, ABC & Quality cost allocation for me.

but hope u guys dun give up jus cos of MA..

its was pure fun & laughter!
all the sessions dedicated were more like get-togethers
all the bonds forged & friendships made
all the races participated were more for leisure

an outlet from studies, Studies, STUDIES!

Getting-to-know-the-person-better stage...
Feb 2006 - Feb 2007.
was given a role to play,
that's when e pressure started.
endless sleeping nights & mental conflicts,
not knowing who to turn to,
all e apprehension & insecurity of not knowing if things are going right,
the fear of letting ming,jacqui & committee down.
needless to say, e few occasional sobbings from e stress!

Need-more-space stage,
Feb 2007!
handed over the role to agnes with great relief!
wanted to make up for the lost time w my family & close frens..
all of whom i had neglected for the past year.
needed more time away from the year-long constraint!

Break-up stage,
23Nov 2007 - Jan 2008...
when e tragedy happened.
total confusion & loss!
e inability to be of help,
inaptitude to salvage e situation,
fragility of life.
not knowing whether this was the right path?
or are there things which require higher priorities?
it was also time for the next race,
e pressure for an answer kept building up..
its so hard to make a choice.
every decision requires some time to think!
then e coach came to talk to me,
at that point of time,
was quite irritated,
(which i've jus told him not too long ago)
there and then,
i made e decision.

Patch-back stage,
Jan 2008 - AGM.
asked to attend e handover..
e feeling never came back.
this time round it was more of companionship.
to be around for as long as possible,
(which most prob is till june race)
go thru e trainings & races,
though e emotional attachment was,
non-existent.
now.. it truly feels like we are team mates..
e excitement & joy from winning gone,
so did e disappointment & sadness from losing.

my whole body hurts from yest's training.
just when i thought it wouldnt happen!!!

days before we were just discussing that
unlike e guys,
our 2.4km test would be straight to e point.
one test, one timing.
(that was wad happened for the last test)

BUUUTT!
i was totally wrong.
We had to do a group run of 2.4km,
clocking of 13mins.
e last 100m before we reach the starting point,
do a slow jog to e start line...
thats when e real 2.4km timing is taken!

omg...
think i gotta control my starts.
always going at an unsustainable rate!
so was literally dying off at e last part..
clocking in 12.42mins.

totally wasnt sure wad timing to expect before e run..
e only thing i had in my head was:
'just do my best.'

i'm glad it did help...
hope i wouldnt slack off for next month's test.

anytime before 5pm would mean e book can be loaned for 4hrs.
so was supposed to return it by 1pm..
BUT silly me only found out ard 5 plus that i FORGOT to return it!!!!!!!!!
OMG.
i felt so stupid!
that cost me 9bucks - 50cents for every 15mins?!?!

actually, its also bcos i've been bending e rules a little..
i'll tell u how... but shhesh on it!
if u borrow frequent enough,
u'd realise that when u return the book @ e machine,
u'd just have to leave it on the shelf beside
(which is not in the 'recommended text section').
so since i'd be using the book in e lib,
i dun really have to borrow the book again,
which means i can use it for e whole day!

These few days had been hard to endure.

That night i got e news was on sat thru sms..
no access to e internet, no call coverage n no contacts with e outside world.
I was praying that u drifted to some shore in e vicinity like depicted in movies
or that e messages were conveyed wrongly.
I was on a trip with odac to jerangkang.

Sun morning, when we came outta e woods,
e first thing i did was call.
Even then, they havent confirmed e details...
but i couldn't help but break down n cry.

12am that very night i reached home,
e news was confirmed but somehow it didnt seem to register.
though i was back,
i refused to read up either e articles online,
e newspaper coverage,
or THIS site.

Couldnt sleep e whole night,
instead slept thru e whole morning lect.

Abt 1.30pm on mon during MA break,
went down to scs with gav, agnes, johnson, ade.
It was then when i saw e condolences booth,
e newspapers, and e standing board with 'Jeremy Goh Tze Xiong'.
I couldnt help but burst into tears..........
e truth finally sunk in and u're never coming back.

Its been e longest week in all my 21yrs of life.

To cheer everyone up,
I'd tell them..

take a ride down my illusioned rollercoaster :)

it starts off from e boarding platform..
so yeah. flat ground there.
e start of a new friendship,
its always fun to meet new ones :)

e track will start proceeding uphill..
being happy n all-hyped up with e ongoings & activities.
e track is pegged with e emotions..
it'll be running up when u're happy.
so up up up it went!
no signs of stopping, in fact much faster than it seems.
its my preference to be happy.

since i'm biased towards negative feelings,
thats when i forgot.....
e tracks proceeds up fast
BUT comes down even FASTER!

i hope it'll land on a flat ground...
cos it feels like i've crashed into a well.
AGAIN.

i hate to say think of it this way...
mabbe its just illusion?
but i hope that i'm wrong.

getting urself too tired makes u drunk really fast!
an obvious example is as experienced..
started off fri at 6am,
went sch for lect,
proceeded down ecp to blade,
went to work,
decided to join everyone else at zouk.
that was abt 12plus..
with 2 teq shots & some long island tea,
e world went spinning!

yeah i know.
i never could hold my liquor.
but i never knew it was this bad!
i prefer blaming it on being physically & mentally tired :)
hahhas.

anyhoo...
regatta has come to an end.
results:
minor finals - mixed & guys, 1st

its a break for this week & training resumes this sun.

of course i've pre-planned a whole event of activites for the week!
whaahahs!
precious precious time w/o trainings.

i swear e air-con system in sch's filty!
keep sneezing consecutively during lect..
that makes me really tired.
i need to have a portable air purifier :)
hahas.

e whole week passed with totality of 39hrs of sleep..
if a standard 7hrs of sleep is required daily,
i've a shortfall of 11hrs.
so scared i'll fall prey to e kazillion mircoscopic life-draining nuisances..
my immune system better be strong up till race ends!

yest's pacing was bad compared to sat's.
aye.
why why why does our performance chart seem like a rollercoaster ride?
if we cant even stagnate e timings now..
wad will become of us during race?

races: if we are not calm enough,
-increases heartbeat
-shortens length
-increases rate
all of which are detrimental to e set.
since our pacings are not up to standard,
wouldnt races only make it worse?

alrighty!
its e end of e week..
thats e only spare time i can be home early to blog!
hahas.

TRAINING (wad else man?!ha.)
it was really way below expectations.
in fact, i dont think its even qualified for race.
dont feel urge in one & all to win..
its really quite pointless to only go thru with e training...
might as well be a leisure team?!
actually, its my last year or mabbe last recognised race with e team.
i need to get home a medal, badly.
can we do it, as a team?

as a team:
are we progressing as desired?
wads e end-product we are working towards?
are we all gel-ed up & ready to compete in races?

as an individual:
am i exhausted from every single training?
have i been free-riding?
is it true i havent let my team-mates down?
wads my maximum?
do i actually know e correct technique & e race course-
deeper? longer? harder? twist? stretch? recovery?
hard 10? starts? maintain? charge?
is that all?

even if its a team sport...
wad actually makes e team successful are e individual rowers.
its more 'I' than 'WE'
if 'I' do not live up to expectations,
'WE' cease to exist.

gotta buck up big time!

i'm hungry already.

training was fun today!!
back to childhood.

e guys got into pairs,
e gers got into pairs.

guy: carries e fren & runs to e ending mark.
ger: one catcher & e other has to shoo as far away as possible.

wahahas.
catching was fun!
i hate weights... i really do.

training venue's been changed!!
so now its tues, thurs, sat & sun @ kallang.
only 13 sessions more...
lets persevere on as a team!

alright.
i confess for skipping training for an invalid reason...
my dear coach is making me feel real bad abt it!
aye!
but we can all go for a trip to batam after e regatta
or mabbe after penang race :)

on another note,
i really enjoyed myself at batam!
too short a getaway but very much appreciated :)
its pretty much e sport & e ppl that made it real fun..

started off with knee-boarding,
e cable ski was a flop!
(e coach says it's e worst success rate in weeks!)
hahahas.

Due to e overheating of e machine,
we were given e privilege of jumping from e height of e cables..
adrenaline-rushed for a moment,
but it sure hurts bad now!
e whole body's aching...........

of course, no one forgets abt cam-whoring!
e finale.

yeah it was fun - i meant for e free-rider, me!

oh shucks!
super duper tired.
its been a long time since land training has been so intense..
eh actually not that i remembered.

1)2.4km clocking a lousy 13plus
2)weights (45s,1min,35s)
- Clean & jerk
- upright row
-bicep curl
-squats
3)pushups x100

sounds really easy but trust me i was dying.
hahas.
coupled by yest's 45mins run,
(16 rounds ard np track)
and sun's dehydrating training.

totally shagged out.

seriously seriously,
mos was bad.
yest was e 3rd time there n i've never liked it.
e music, e crowd.
its filled with ah-bengs to the brim.
yuck yuck.
so that sums it up for e last clubbing session for e month.

hahas. only went twice these few months,
last wed zouk & yest mos.
zouk's still my fave ;)

i'm a traditional blockhead...
gotta change to move on!

Uh.
a whole day spent at e ulu lakeside is really draining!

its been a month since i was sucked into e regime.
working, training, studying.
its rather tiring!

but i will not falter!
there are many more individuals who are:
studying 10x harder
working 10x e frequency
training 10x e effectiveness

compared to them...
i'm nowhere near!
its time to prove myself worthy :)

and hahas.
its time to lose weight.
stop me from eating unnecessary junks!!
darn. they're my faves.

alright.
it was partially my fault...
but u know how at e spur of a moment, one does silly things.

if i knew better i wouldnt have!
its jus that things hasnt been going so well...
a form of release seems so appealing.

e self restrictions & demands were driving me mad..
